Recent Projects We have a wide variety of projects underway and we have completed many more through past associations with Woodlot Alternatives, Inc. (now part of Stantec)1. Recent and representative projects include: · Ongoing environmental services associated with decommissioning the Yankee Nuclear Power Station; · Climate, Community & Biodiversity Alliance (CCBA) validation of carbon sequestration claims for an avoided grassland conversion project in the Prairie Pothole Region (in association with Scientific Certification Systems); · Forest Stewardship Council audits in Maryland, West Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana, and Maine; · Forest Stewardship Council chain-of-custody audits for a building supply company in Maine; · Deer wintering area (DWA) habitat management plans for landowners certified under the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) program; · Statistical analysis of contaminated sediment data from an industrial site in Massachusetts (in association with Stantec); · QA/QC of statistical methods for the analysis of bird migration data at proposed wind power sites (in association with Stantec); · Post-relicensing studies, plans, and FERC submissions related to fish and wildlife habitat, forest management, and rare species conservation (in association with Stantec); · Waterfowl management plans for a network of managed reservoirs associated with a hydropower project (in association with Stantec); · Permitting runway safety improvements at regional airports; Please feel free to contact us for a more complete list of our project experience. ______________________ 1Michael Thompson was co-owner of Woodlot Alternatives, Inc., until it was sold to Stantec in September 2007. |
