Scientific SCUBA Diving Our company provides scientific SCUBA diving services in waters less than 130 feet deep in riverine, lake, and marine environments. These services do not include commercial diving (e.g., underwater construction) and are, instead, limited to data collection, photography, and related scientific observations. Past dive projects have included freshwater mussel inventories, characterizing marine benthic habitats, fish habitat descriptions, measuring eroding river banks, and collecting sediment samples as part of decommissioning a nuclear power plant. Services that we provide include preparing dive safety plans, organizing a dive team that meets your specific project requirements, assembling the necessary boats, dive gear, and safety equipment, and safely executing the dive. Our company supports the efforts of professional archaeologists working in aquatic environments through discounted dive rates and volunteer dive time. |
